چکیده
In most habitats in temperate zones, Carabidae show clear intra-annual changes abundance and species composition. the spring, we studied beetle fauna 5 different biotopes differing degree of overgrowth birch forest over a period three years. According to years research, 10,528 specimens (64 from 6 subfamilies) were collected. Twelve beetles found all biotopes. The highest numbers obtained 12-15-year forest; lowest abandoned lands. biodiversity was ecotone at border young fallow A high Shannon Biodiversity Index low Simpson indicate that communities lands are equalized. There is significant dominance 1–3 overgrown with forests.

biodiversity of carabidae beetles (coleoptera: carabidae) in agroecosystems of azadshahr region, golestan province, northern iran
ground beetles (family carabidae) with more than 40,000 described species worldwide are one of the most important generalist predators in agroecosystems. because of their habit of feeding on agricultural pests and weed seeds, in this study we tried to assess their biodiversity in agroecosystems of azadshahr region, eastern golestan province. samples were collected for some main crops, using pit...
متن کاملGround beetles in Mediterranean olive agroecosystems: Their significance and functional role as bioindicators (Coleoptera, Carabidae)
The impact of agricultural practices and soil management on the communities of arthropods living in the agricultural landscape is acknowledged as a critical issue by the literature, and it needs to be better investigated to improve the ecological sustainability of agriculture. In the present study, we aimed to study how soil management affect carabid species distribution in one of the most typi...
متن کاملGround beetles of the Ukraine (Coleoptera, Carabidae)
A review of the ground beetles of the Ukrainian fauna is given. Almost 750 species from 117 genera of Carabidae are known to occur in the Ukraine. Approximately 450 species of ground beetles are registered in the Carpathian region. No less than 300 species of ground beetles are found in the forest zone. Approximately 400 species of Carabidae present in the forest-steppe zone are relatively simi...
متن کاملResponse of female beetles to LIDAR derived topographic variables in Eastern boreal mixedwood forests (Coleoptera, Carabidae)
Biodiversity monitoring is increasingly being bolstered with high resolution data derived from remote sensing such as LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging). We derived a series of topographical variables, including slope, azimuth, ground curvature and flow accumulation from LIDAR images and compared these to captures of female carabids in pitfall traps in Eastern boreal mixedwood forests. We deve...
متن کاملAbsence asymmetry: the evolution of monorchid beetles (Insecta: Coleoptera: Carabidae).
Asymmetrical monorchy, or the complete absence of one testis coupled with the presence of its bilateral counterpart, is reported for 174 species of the carabid beetle tribes Abacetini, Harpalini, and Platynini (Insecta: Coleoptera: Carabidae) based on a survey of over 820 species from throughout the family. This condition was not found in examined individuals of any other carabid beetle tribes,...
